
Why do some of my images have a lens flare and how do I prevent this from happening?
Lens flares are normal when you do one shot panoramic images and have a strong light coming directly into the lens (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lens_flare). You can avoid this by having the most homogeneous light in the room you are shooting. For example if you are outside with a very bright sun that could go straight into the lens, it is often better to put the camera in the shadow of a tree/roof/window/terrace/etc.
Why do some of my tours look pink with lines across them?
This is what we call the “Pink Bug”. This bug will be 100% automatically fixed as soon as we will roll-out a new image processing engine.
How do I delete individual photos on the camera?
View the photos on the camera (Select Menu and Play). Find the photo you want to delete and press Cancel. Confirm that you want to delete the photo. NB: Remember to delete the other two photos related to that photo if the photo was taken using the HDR option (3 photos taken to make 1 virtual tour).
I make changes to the title, description, photo names and sometimes delete a photo or two on the platform yet they still show up when I view my virtual tour. Why is this?
You need to press the Save button (yellow button) after making any changes and before you view your virtual tour again.
I am using Windows 7 and when I upload my images to the platform, the images upload too quickly and I get an incomplete panorama on the platform. What am I doing wrong?
When using Windows 7, don’t choose the ‘Import pictures and video’ option once you have plugged in and switched your camera on via USB. Rather choose the option ‘Open folder to view files’. This will open an explorer window where you can go through the directories (DCIM and 100MEDIA) and find your pictures. Select the pictures you want to copy and copy them onto your hard drive. Then when you use the widget, it will have the correct pictures.
What is the Browse button on the Hotspot target page for?
The Browse button on the Hotspot target page is used to select a static picture from your PC. This picture will be uploaded to your platform and will be displayed when the user clicks on the Hotspot that it refers to.
Can you clear the Google Map after you have saved it? And if so, how?
Yes you can. Simply remove the previously saved address and Save again.
What happens when you mark a tour as Archived?
Any tours marked as Archived will no longer be visible when using their respective URLs. They will however still be on your platform and you can view them by selecting the option to view Archived tours on the left pane above the listing of your tours.
How do I change where my virtual tour starts playing from?
Select the Crop option above each of your panoramic images and move the image left or right until your desired starting point is in the middle of the layout screen. Press the Process button.
I have renamed the imported images now they do not display correctly when I try to view the virtual tour:
You must not use any programs to import the images. You also must not rename any images before you upload them. Transfer the images immediately from the camera to the computer. Then upload the images from the computer.
Can you change the exposure settings?
If you are shooting a busy environment with lots of movement you may wish to change the exposure setting from HDR to “One-Shot” – You would need to push the menu button go to exposure menu, push OK then change the setting from HDR to 0. When you are done with the “One-Shot” switch the camera off, then on again and your default settings will be back.
Why can I not view the virtual tour?
You need to have Adobe Flash player installed on your browser. Please note that IE9 currently has problems with flash applications.
Can I add other music or sounds into the virtual tour?
No. Due to French copyright laws you cannot add in any other sounds or music other than the sounds that are currently loaded.
What format must the Floor plan be in?
When loading a floor plan you must ensure that it is saved in a .jpg format.
I have uploaded the tour but nothing is displayed in the new virtual tour?
If you cannot see the virtual tour you have uploaded, your upload did not go through correctly, you will need to upload the files again.
